What the service is

CyberStatus UK provides cybersecurity self-assessment and readiness information, plus guided practical actions. It does not provide certification, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, managed security monitoring, antivirus, breach detection, or a guarantee of security.

CyberStatus UK is a self-assessment readiness tool. It is not a certification, penetration test or vulnerability scan, and it is not a guarantee of security.

CyberStatus UK is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the UK Government's Cyber Essentials scheme, and does not provide Cyber Essentials certification.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for providing accurate assessment answers.
  • Scores and Operational Risk are guidance based on the answers you supply, and should not be treated as independent verification of your security.
  • Guided Fix content is general practical guidance. Please seek qualified IT or cybersecurity assistance where appropriate, particularly before making changes you do not fully understand.
  • You must not misuse the service, interfere with it, attempt unauthorised access, or use it unlawfully.

Free service

The Cyber Health Check, your results and action plan, basic Guided Fix guidance and account functionality can be provided without a Protect subscription, subject to current product availability.

CyberStatus Protect

CyberStatus Protect costs £29.99 per month.

  • It is a monthly rolling subscription, billed monthly.
  • There is no free trial currently, and no minimum long-term commitment.
  • The subscription renews monthly unless cancelled.
  • You can cancel at any time through the Stripe-hosted billing portal.
  • Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and Protect remains available until that paid-through date.
  • After cancellation takes effect there is no further monthly subscription charge unless you resume or re-subscribe.
  • Cancelling Protect does not delete your free CyberStatus account, your assessment history or your free progress.
  • Protect-only features may become unavailable once paid access ends.
  • Stripe handles payment details. We do not receive or store full card numbers, expiry dates or CVCs.
  • Failed payments may result in Protect access being restricted or ending, in line with the subscription status reported by our payment provider.

Cancellation rights and refunds

Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights that apply to you.

If you are legally a consumer, statutory cancellation rights may apply to online purchases. To exercise any applicable right, contact support@cyberstatusuk.co.uk.

Refund requests outside any statutory entitlement are considered individually, including duplicate charges or genuine technical or payment problems.

Availability and changes

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may make reasonable changes to the service, while preserving rights you have already paid for where applicable.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

CyberStatus UK is an information and guidance service. It is not responsible for preventing cyber incidents, and you remain responsible for your own cybersecurity decisions, systems and implementation.

Subject to the above, our liability in connection with the service is limited to what is reasonable and, for paid subscriptions, will not normally exceed the amounts you have paid us in the 12 months before the relevant claim.

Intellectual property

CyberStatus UK owns or licenses the content of the site and product. You receive a limited, non-exclusive right to use it for your own business purposes.

Accounts and suspension

We may suspend or end access where there is serious misuse, a security concern, or a legal reason to do so. Cancelling Protect does not delete your account.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
